if I'm duplicating the Image Target Controller Behavior. I'm getting so many Errors.

Generally you do not duplicate the scripts, you use public interfaces of them. Although the plugin is open sourced, you should still treat it like a bunch of “DLLs”, or you will have headaches when doing a version upgrade.
